With these awards we strongly affirm the importance of volunteers in our community. The annual Awards ceremony recognizes individuals and groups that meet the criteria for each specific award.

The Awards

Volunteer Group Award: Nominate a distinct group of volunteers who have joined together in volunteer service to others by contributing time and/or talents to a Collin County area nonprofit organization and/or cause and demonstrating a passion for meeting the worthy needs of our community.

Pete & Nancy Huff Community Service Legacy Award:  Nominate an individual(s) who has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the community through passion and dedication to volunteerism, board service, and/or leadership of groups or nonprofit organizations. Championing and meeting the needs of worthy charitable causes in the McKinney area.

The Heart of Service Award: Nominate an individual(s) who consistently gives significant volunteer service to one Collin County area nonprofit organization and has made a dramatic impact on the agency and/or the worthy clients they serve.

Leadership Through Influence Award: Nominate an individual within a Collin County area nonprofit organization who demonstrates exemplary leadership, commitment, and vision within their organization and/or in collaboration with other organizations for the common good.

Volunteer of the Year Award: Nominate an individual who exemplifies the true spirit of volunteerism through giving time and/or talents to numerous organizations in the Collin County area and demonstrates a passion for meeting the many worthy needs of the community.

Business Service Award: Nominate a Collin County area business for their demonstrated contributions of time, talents, and/or finances supporting the spirit of volunteerism within nonprofits. Including employee engagement programs and/or sponsorship of worthy community events.

Inspiring Service to Others Award: Nominate a public or private school, home school group, or other educational entity that inspires and demonstrates the powerful impact of volunteerism and serving others in the Collin County area through curriculum, programs, and community service initiatives. 

Youth Servant Leader of the Year Award: Nominate an individual under the age of 21 (or a distinct group of volunteers under the age of 21) who demonstrates initiative, leadership, and commitment to serving others in the Collin County area.
