Executive Director

Christine Ortega has worked with nonprofits and the faith community in a variety of capacities throughout Collin County over the last 17 years. She worked as the outreach director with a local church for over a decade, is Emeritus Director for the Collin County Homeless Coalition, 2020-21 Prospective Member Junior League of Collin County, and serves on the Health and Wellness Alliance for Children’s Collin County Steering Committee.

Christine was recognized in Frisco Style Magazine as “Best of Frisco” and was featured in “Faces of Frisco” showcasing her as a community leader who makes the hometown a better place to be for businesses, entrepreneurs and families alike. She currently resides in Frisco with her husband and is the mother to two adult sons.

As Executive Director at Volunteer McKinney, Christine understands that volunteers are the backbone, heart, and soul of McKinney. Her passion to support local nonprofits to exponentially grow and better serve the community aligns perfectly with the mission of Volunteer McKinney.
