Volunteer McKinney was born 20 years ago with an idea that local nonprofits could use some help recruiting volunteers and needed a resource for learning more about managing volunteers and how a professional volunteer program should work. We are proud to be there for our partner agencies and are constantly thinking of more ways to engage more volunteers in service, encourage collaboration between local nonprofits to meet our communities needs and bringing events that will inspire people of all ages to make a difference.
Our workshops are supported by local corporate and community donations and that allows us to offer them to our partner agencies at little or no cost.
Many of our workshops are taught by subject matter experts in the field to bring their perspective and ideas to you. Our goal is that each and every agency that we work with feels empowered to do all they can to support the volunteers who assist them in delivering services to their clients. Workshop topics are chosen based on feedback from our agencies as well as the current “hot topics” in the field of volunteer management.
Workshops are posted on the calendar on our website and you must be a Partner Agency in order to attend.
