Youth Empowerment

Volunteer McKinney seeks to empower teens through collaborating with our partner agencies to create support systems for them to thrive in McKinney. We do this through offering volunteer opportunities for teens to connect with area nonprofits. We host the McKinney Youth Summit annually to support those who work with youth in Collin County. Our Youth Resource Guide seeks to connect at-risk youth and their families to resources in the community that can assist them with basic needs, healthcare, education, and much more.

How can you get your child involved with Youth Philanthropy?

1.  Involve youth in the creation.

2.  Provide training with context.

3.  Engage kid-friendly adults who know when to get out of the way.

4.  Connect personal philanthropy and volunteerism with the family’s philanthropy.

5.  Provide hands-on grantmaking opportunities that show impact.
